Bow Lake's Location

Bow Lake is located along the Icefields Parkway (Highway 93), approximately 40 kilometers (25 miles) north of Lake Louise and 93 kilometers (58 miles) south of Jasper. It lies at an elevation of about 1,920 meters (6,300 feet) above sea level.

Size and Appearance of Bow Lake

The lake covers an area of approximately 3.21 square kilometers (1.24 square miles) and has a maximum depth of about 50 meters (164 feet). Its clear, turquoise waters are fed by meltwater from the Bow Glacier and other surrounding glaciers.
